As a headstrong, smart CIA operative, Beneventi is partnered up with MI6 agent Finola Jones while working for Orbital, a joint MI6-CIA task force. They are assigned with investigating the strange occurrences surrounding pieces of Debris that have landed on Earth. Often this requires solving puzzles regarding how the Debris is changing the environment in which it is situated. Beneventi carries a picture of an unknown woman in his left breast jacket pocket.[1]
